country's infrastructure stronger and to help its people more secure in their income and jobs.

From their standpoint you could almost reverse the charts.

Lower wage increases.
Less worker protection.
Diminishing Social Security.
Federal budget difficulty leading to less regulation on big corporate stakeholders.
A repressed housing market leading to a rent not own environment.

Is it any wonder that republicans would be against it.
