We have someone harping on and on about how they don't like being called a Libertarian or a racist.

And the reality is - that same mindset calls us Fascists and Nazis and makes snide remarks about "the trains running on time."

A few days ago we had someone come back here and reference "cockroaches". And they didn't like me pointing out that same language was used by the Hutus in Rwanda towards Tutsis - with reference by the way. I was alerted on and the jury allowed it to stand.

As well they should have. They are ratcheting up the language. And while they talk about the Stasi, and collaborators etc etc I want to say: Please. That is so 1940. Hope you are safe and sound back there. Because shit went down 20 years ago in a civilized country after 30/40 years of political conflict and all it took was a complicit media and angry people with machetes.

They have repeatedly told us folks who are supportive of Obama that they aren't insulting him or attacking him--they are merely pointing out failure of policy etc. etc.

So I am pointing out examples where some of them do exactly that. They really do have a group who will say vile things about top Dem leaders on an ostensibly Dem site.

May I remind you as well that the appropriate forums for firebreathers are elsewhere, not in this group. Only the uncouth and unlettered crash rooms not designated for quarrels. To violate the group's TOS is to reveal yourself as disrespectful of others, and therefore of yourself. And that's contemptible.

They're from the other side or working for it knowingly/unknowingly. But the facts of the matter, regardless of where right and wrong lie, pale beside the undeniable fact of their philistine behavior.
The purpose is only to stir up and distract. They know group members aren't going to be swayed by their arguments when they lack the common civilized courtesy of respecting proper boundaries. And they know how badly they behave, because they'd hand you your head on a silver platter if you went to one of their groups and challenged them in the least. Hell, they try to decapitate you here, where they don't belong at all. I learned a long time ago not to listen to bullies.

But I look forward to the time when such intruders are dealt with more swiftly, effectively and permanently. I'm told that's being done behind the scenes, but it would be encouraging to see more results out front. That's the main persuader, no matter what level of personal trust we might harbor.

The purpose of the BOG is to discuss and support the policies of President Obama in an atmosphere free of recrimination and vitriol.

Bringing in GD disputes here only degrades the atmosphere here.

If the atmosphere in GD bothers you please gather your facts and take on the issue or just ignore them and go to LBN, the Lounge and here.

Beside being against the SOP of the BOG it is unfair to raise an issue that the other side cannot respond to because it is a protected group.
