With all radios on (cell, BT, WIFI) yes you will need to recharge it at least once a day. Keep it in airplane mode and you will get about 1.5 days+

The iPhone 6 and 6s were Apples two most popular products. Big enough but thin. Great size

The iphone has a very right screen and it likes to light up for any reason, so you need to get used to turning off the screen after any thing changes. I find it weird the way it lights up after you plug it in.

Having the brightness up drains the battery super fast, and the Auto Brightness feature keeps it up pretty high.

In Settings, scroll down to Display and Brightness and then tap the toggle labeled Automatic.

If you need your screen to be brighter, just swipe the control panel up from the bottom of the screen and adjust it manually (and remember to turn it back down when you are in lower lighting).

I have an iPhone 6s that I love. It has to be charged every night. If I stream a lot of music, I have to charge more often than that.

Note there is a (newish) section in "Settings" called "Battery" that will display all sorts of info on your battery and which apps are using the most energy. And under "Battery Health" it'll also tell you what the current capacity is (fully charged) compared to when it was new.

Lots more info: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208387
Hints on making the most of your battery: https://www.apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/

Newish: iOS 11.3 or later. If you have an ancient iOS installed on your phone you won't find it.
