Which of these 4 laptops would be the fastest as in surfing from site to site, loading pages

watching Netflix, etc?

I just bought the HP and not as fast as I would like (loading websites, going from one site to the other is all I do, that and watch video like Youtube/Netflix), I listed my HP here...they are all SSD and Intel 10th generation other than the HP

The only significant factor in loading web pages is the internet speed and the provider’s speed. Unless you are doing significant computing on your computer all will work.

Test your speed at Speedtest.net.

I just bought an Asus gaming machine so I can run the new MS Flight Simulator - I7 CPU, 16 GB of DDR Ram, NVidia Graphics Card with 8GB of video ram. The frame rate is impressive..

HP any more is junk if you ask me. If you can get rid of all the bloatware HP puts on there,
it might be faster, but I would still go with the Dell. Usually built better.

What specifically could I take off as in software and is it as simple as deleting it?

LG has by far the best battery life, double most of the others. Where I Live we lose power for days at a time, so may return this for the LG Gram...

As long as you have at least 8 GB RAM and a SSD harddrive then you’ll have plenty of power. At that point the quality of your WiFi connection and the type of browser you use will become the things you need to look at. One thing to look at is your WiFi router - if it is several years old then you should replace it.

If you're mainly using for surfing/streaming, why waste all that computing power. A Chromebook is excellent for this and generally far cheaper.

I recently got a reconditioned Dell touchscreen Chromebook for something like $150 on Amazon, and it is excellent for all of this.

you mainly use it for surfing and streaming? Plenty of Chromebooks out there for under $500.00 that will fly when surfing. HP, Dell, ASUS, Acer, Samsung, and others make them.

and convert them into blazing fast Chromebooks. Because Chrome OS requirements are so minimal, many Windows 10 machines have far more power than is required. So, you can take an 8 year old laptop that you don't use anymore and convert it into effectively a high Chromebook in about an hour with only software changes.

I posted this on Monday on DU that shows how easy it is to do it: https://www.democraticunderground.com/109525719

2 of them are LG, one is Dell and one is HP...just now myself realizing the two LG's are the same but for the size.

Did you think I was advertising these?

Oh, you mean the ads on DU, yeah I have no control over that but since I mentioned them I can see what you are saying.

A few months ago my third HP machine died a horrible death and I needed something in a hurry.

Walmart had a Lenovo laptop for around 200 bucks-- 4G ram, Intel I3 processor and it plays TV and movies just fine. Speedy most of the time when switching windows, too. The lack of crapware is appreciated.

I'll eventually get around to adding some of the RAM I have lying round, but haven't really needed it yet.
