I've had a new wireless keyboard and mouse for a month. Both are acting up so I changed
the batteries and they are working much better. Am I going to have to change the batteries every single month?

(25,592 posts)1. Can you turn them off when not in use?
Otherwise they sit there drawing a small bit of power so they can know when to fully power up.

They will last substantially longer.

(2,282 posts)5. I have a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard
I recharge the mouse about every 4-5 days. The keyboard has been running on the original batteries for over a year now.

(47,675 posts)7. No. Two years is typical. If the batteries came with the devices they were probably junk.
I never use the "batteries included" ones. Duracell or Energizer will last a long time.
