Downloading xp to computer with windows 10 installed...

Finally got into this computer...thx for all the help..

And it is still a piece of junk..I have an xp - cd from my purchase
of a gateway..06' I believe..Tried to down load it into the acer 704g..
Won't do it..can't boot it up from the bios..have never been able to
re-sequence the boot order...Should I be able to download
windows xp?

Or may require XP 64 bit. XP is an 18 year old OS at this time.

Regardless, if you're gonna downgrade, go with Windows 7.

have to go to bios and set it for legacy OS. It really isn't "bios" anymore.

Hey, you probably don't want windows xp on it because they won't support that with security updates or anything.

Listen, try downloading xubuntu or lubuntu. Look at xubuntu.org it would be a lot easier and you would be happier.

Time to move on to win10 (which is a very good OS). If you're having trouble running legacy programs on XP, you can set the executable of the program to be compatible with winXP thru windows compatibility tool. Good luck!
