What is a good reliable web-based email client?

My account at mail.com is down again. Haven't had these issues in a few years.
But it's been 24 hours. A couple years back they changed available addresses and I lost
one account there. Never recovered anything from it, it was so quick.

It is a major pain to migrate my personal business account to another place. And even
then how do you re-archive account contents. Can't be done to preserve the original email
headers I think.

Fortunately I use separate accounts for other things, but most of those are not
used at all so I have no idea if they're reliable.

Is gmail any good?

Yahoo mail now offers the capability to integrate all Yahoo mail accounts into one.
Boy that would be confusing. And I don't want personal business with my family account.

Can you integrate just two Yahoo accounts?

So I'm seeking a free non-Yahoo email provider that is reliable.

I'd be interested to hear others' solutions to their voluminous email.

1. gmail works fine, but...

there are those Google spying issues. Don't know if they're important or not.

I've been using Yahoo for years. I opened a Yahoo account when I was broke and my email provider (whoever it was who bought Mindspring) closed me for nonpayment. Kept the account for general use ever since because if you move your email you don't get forwarding, like you do with the Post Office when you move your ass. Now I pay for Yahoo (it's not expensive) to avoid the ads and get a little more functionality out of it. Very, very few problems with Yahoo over all those years.

I don't know if they have to merge you accounts. I think that's just one option. I do most of my email from home with Thunderbird and have half a dozen accounts there happily coexisting.

4. Yahoo does the same

As far as "spying" is concerned. Yahoo does exactly the same things. Almost all free email services behave exactly the same whn it comes to "spying"

3. Gmail is amazing

When it comes to email there is no comparison.

There are so many benefits to using gmail it is impossible to list them all. A few of my favorites are the end of the need to worry about storage. Google gives you more storage than you will ever need. I haven't thrown an email out in over ten years now . That has come in handy many times over the years for things like recovering old accounts or pulling up old purchases or even finding old photos sent to me.

Another added benefit is with gmail you also get access to the rest of Google services like drive to store stuff and photos to keep and share pics.

Another great thing is its integration with Android devices. Once you have a gmail account you can move from device to device and your stuff will follow you including apps .

So many more advantages but suffice it to say that when it comes email no one does it better.

You don't have to take my word for it though just do a search for best free email and you will find thousands of articles putting Google on top.

7. Earthlink offers email only service.
