I just got my computer back from a guy who fixed

it. It is refurbished so the problems came with the computer.

Anyway I just looked and the "Teamviewer" was downloaded onto my desktop.

I didn't download it.

So I think he did. But why?

At the very least you should change any access code that's been set for it. drm604 May 2015 #3

Probably so he can repair your machine remotely. I think you need to give him a code so he can control it, but it might be set up for remote control-viewing without human intervention. If you don't feel you need it, uninstall it.

It might be he discovered your problem is something he could have fixed remotely, and using Teamviewer would save you both some time if it happens again.

Personally, I would completely uninstall it. If you ever need his help and he needs to get in remotely, you can always download it and install it and give him access at that time and then uninstall it afterwards.

Odds are he's not planning anything nefarious but better safe than sorry.
