I would imagine she voices her opinion on British and international policy. Does she have a stance on the political spectrum or is it imperative that her majesty remain nuetral and unpartisan?

(4,610 posts)I was only in London a couple weeks on assignment, maybe a Brit is among us to better explain.
But as I understand, its kinda like the Queen is the government. The Queen is an embodiment of England. She is the flag, the bald eagle, and the constitution. She is the symbol of what is England.
But the country and government is actually a parliamentary democracy with elected leaders, who the Queen appoints based on election results. So while she serves as a head-of-state, the queen is really a cross between our electoral college, and Ryan Seacrest announcing the winner of America Idol.
