Does Queen Elizabeth have a political leaning?

I would imagine she voices her opinion on British and international policy. Does she have a stance on the political spectrum or is it imperative that her majesty remain nuetral and unpartisan?

1. Her Majesty is politically neutral. I'm sure she has opinions, but officially she doesn't.

I was only in London a couple weeks on assignment, maybe a Brit is among us to better explain.

But as I understand, its kinda like the Queen is the government. The Queen is an embodiment of England. She is the flag, the bald eagle, and the constitution. She is the symbol of what is England.

But the country and government is actually a parliamentary democracy with elected leaders, who the Queen appoints based on election results. So while she serves as a head-of-state, the queen is really a cross between our electoral college, and Ryan Seacrest announcing the winner of America Idol.

I know there are PMs the monarch work well with and a few they despise. I do think they try to keep themselves out of any sort of partisan affray.

How she runs the Royal business is not on contemporary conservative principles.

Gordon to Tony: 'Thanks for the job, Tony. Want a peerage?"
Tony: "Not now, maybe later."

Later in 2010...

David Cameron : "Gordon, sorry you lost. Want a peerage? "
Gordon: "Not now, maybe later."
