I guess no-one is that bothered about my vote...😡

SULK ON:

With 5 days to go until the general election other than a LibDem and a Tory leaflet through my door there has been no evidence of the election going on anywhere that I have been. This is unusual and I am not sure why. I live in a Labour held seat that very nearly went Tory in 2015 before bouncing back in 2017, so it has some vulnerabilities… but not one person from any party has knocked on my door, not one party has set up a table outside the local Waitrose… nothing…nadda {this is not the norm}. It is all really rather annoying, I love a good debate during election season.

Looks like this time round they really don’t care about my vote…bah humbug!!

1. Which constituency?

And also how did the constituency swing in Brexit?

If the constituency is heavy remain and typically a Labour stronghold, it's possible that the seat isn't a target or battleground seat. There's no use for throwing limited money at a seat that will not turn LD or Tory... better focus on different targets (for Tories, it's Labour in Leave areas, LD it's Tories in Remain areas where Labour isn't strong).

Labour are wise to focus on the NHS since their Brexit policy is more like the Hokey Pokey. But Corbyn is soooo much like Michael Foot in many ways (policies, mannerisms, even appearance) the possible results scare me - i.e. a Tory landslide - I just hope enough young people turn out and save the country from itself.

So far I have had 5 leaflets from the Lib Dems (and a visit from their candidate) 3 from the Conservatives and one from Labour.

I did spot Labour canvassers out the other week on a private housing estate full of OAP's, and they appeared to be getting a hostile reception.

I didn't think I would witness a more anemic Labour campaign than I did in North East Derbyshire last time. I was clearly mistaken. And that was with a sitting MP who by all accounts had a poor relationship with Momentum and went out of her way to alienate supporters. This time round we have a Momentum Labour candidate!

The Greens have stood down to back the LibDem. Had a couple of leaflets from the LibDems; none from the Tories or Labour so far. Or the Brexit Party.

(a leaflet a day distributed by party workers, and about 3 letters a week through the mail from the central office - today's was by Alistair Campbell, urging a tactical vote for the Lib Dems here).

Lib Dem leaflets have featured Johnson twice, and Trump, and Farage. The Tory leaflets (not so frequent, though I did get the MP on my doorstep for the first time ever) are quiet about Johnson. We voted about 60% Remain.

is that the Lib Dems are the only ones of the big three making a big song and dance about the party leader. Johnson and Corbyn have been notably absent from their own parties leaflets that I've seen.
