A callout to Madison (South Central) DU'ers! It's party time!

Is anyone interested in a celebratory get-together to laugh, and then laugh some more. I may laugh until I cough up blood I have so much Schadenfreude!!

Any thoughts? I'd like to do it fairly soon before the "thrill is gone" or lessened somewhat.

I was thinking of either a Friday or Saturday night starting after supper, say 6:30 PM. Or earlier... I'm feeling things out.

2. A bunch of us frequent The Fountain on State St

on Fridays (and many other evenings). Liberal-owned. liberal-staffed, and liberal-attended! It would be fun to add some new blood via DU!

What time on Friday do you usually meet at the Fountain?

6. People usually start dribbling in by 6:30,

Piano man starts at 9:00. One reason I like the Fountain is that there are different spaces to be in, so it's easier to find a spot where people can actually converse. If I know a rough number for a certain time for dinner, I can reserve a table, and add people as they come in. Then there's plenty of room for drifting around afterwards.

7. I guess I wasn't thinking of dinner, just have a few drinks and shoot the shit for awhile.

I'm on a 1500 cal/day diet and my entire daily allotment will probably taken up by the very calorie laden beer i like to drink.

8. You even said that in your OP,

but I got sidetracked by food! I'd probably eat, but I usually eat there on Fridays anyway. They have a really good black bean burger. And the bakery up front just started making some wonderful desserts... but I think a piece of cheesecake might be a full 1500 calories all by itself.
