Related: About this forumChanges coming to Wisconsin state employee health insurance
The consultants hired by by the Wisconsin Group Insurance Board made their recommendations today. It looks like costs will be much higher for state employees in 2016 and for 2017 and beyond it looks quite possible the state will drop all HMOs and begin self-insuring (WalkerCare...shudder).
A few examples of recommendations for 2016 include, doubling annual out-of-pocket max from $1000 to $2000 annually, introducing a $500 deductible, implementing a new co-pay scheme, increasing the cost of prescription drugs to as much as $200 per refill for non-generics. There is much more in the report:

Spoken with the wisdom completely lacking in the short-sighted Republicans controlling this state.

(3,974 posts)Democrats would be, like, "right about now, looks like FDR to me", and a good number of Republicans would be, like, "hey, I have grandchildren, and he's a Republican, right?". It would be Schultz 65%, Walker 35%
Dale for Governor 2016
