Warning-Larouchie running for Washington CD9

In Texas in 2010, Democrats in Fort Bend County in Texas did not pay attention to a congressional district race that we knew that the GOP was going to win. A LaRouche cult member named Kesha Rogers won the Democratic nomination in 2010 and after the she had the nomination we found out that she was running on the platform of impeaching President Obama and starting a colony on Mars. Please watch out for these pretend Democrats. In the general election, Kesha Rogers got only 29% of the vote which was 10% less than the other Democrats running that year received (it was a bad year for Democrats in Texas). In Texas straight party ticket voting is good for party building and we could not encourage our voters to vote a straight party ticket because that meant that they would be voting for a cult candidate who wanted to impeach President Obama. Kesha Rogers averaged 10% less than other Democrats running that year because we got people to split ticket vote.

Dave Christie who is running for the Democratic nomination in WA CD9 is a LaRouche cult follower and is also running on the platform of impeaching President Obama. I just spent two hours calling voters in Texas to alert these voters about Kesha Rogers and I would hate to see the Democrats in Washington State face the same issues that we went through here in Texas CD22. Congressman Adam Smith appears to be a good democrat and hopefully will have no trouble with the LaRouche candidate but I urge Washington DUers to be careful. LaRouchies are dangerous and can sneak up on you.

Be careful, the LaRouchies do not give up and their followers are like cult members in that they are true believers. The Fort Bend Democrats are now spending a great deal of time making sure that Kesha Rogers is not on the ballot in November.

In an effort to preserve your vision of a new anti-FDR, anti-JFK, pro-Wall Street Democratic Party, you slandered and defamed Ms. Rogers, lied about her, and treated her just like the Dixiecrats treated others of her color and gender 60 years ago. And guess what? She won anyway.

Rogers lost to Olson, 29.8% to 67.5%. How is this "she won anyway"?

(I'm in this congressional district - house of representatives #22 here in TX). She will be running against Pete Olson again this fall. Last time this happened she did not have any democratic party support because of her stance against the president (she wants to impeach him). I doubt that will change this time, but as someone who isn't an insider or decision maker I don't know that for a fact. Can only relay what I've seen so far.

And I can tell you for sure I saw her folks set up near a McDonalds/Kroger in my sub-division last Friday, with a huge picture of President Obama with a hitler-type mustache. I won't be supporting this woman in any way given that reality.

I notice you've already left the building so I will instead let folks know about Kesha Rogers: http://kesharogers.com/

Here is the story on Huffington Post about her "Impeach Obama" campaign: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/03/04/kesha-rogers-impeach-obam_n_485870.html

Nobody in the 22nd needs to slander or defame anyone, we simply need to tell the truth. She's going to have a tough fight against Mr. Olson, and she won't have my help given her stance against the President.

This is an excerpt from an e-mail from Susan Bankston (aka Juanita Jean http://juanitajean.com/ ):

....we beat her in Fort Bend County. In Brazoria County, she won with 57% of the vote. In Harris County, she won with 62% of the vote. However, in Fort Bend County, she lost badly with only 44% of the vote.

KP never really worked with the other counties. The Fort Bend Democrats worked hard to keep this race close and we were somewhat successful here thanks to the efforts of Steve Brown and the other leaders in the party.

Kesha has no chance in the general election against Pete Olson. In 2010, Kesha got 36% of the Fort Bend County vote but did not break 30% for the entire district. We had several candidates in 2010 get 47% of the Fort Bend County vote which means that Kesha under-performed Fort Bend County Democrats in 2010 by 10% or so. President Obama got 90%+ of the vote in Fort Bend County in the Democratic primary yesterday. There was a great deal of split part voting in 2010 and there will be more of this in 2012 due to Kesha.

I and others tried to recruit a stronger candidate for this race but the demographics are simply too bad for any Democrat to want to run against Pete Olson in the Texas 22nd Congressional District. Again, McCain won this district in 2008 with 60% of the vote. Kesha won yesterday due to low information voters in other counties who did not know who they were voting for. KP's defeat is not any sort of referendum on President Obama and is more of a referendum on what a weak candidate KP George was in this race and the mistake he made in not campaigning in the entire district.

The Democrats in Washington State need to be careful here. These LaRouche candidates can be a problem.

If he doesn't start voting more like McDermott and less like Larsen, he is going to be in trouble at that time. Not from a LaRouchie, though. The new 9th CD is a majority minority district, and someone like Ron Sims or Bruce Harrell will take Smith on unless he conforms more to the district's preferences.
