Another man is presumed drowned near Eagle Falls
INDEX A man is presumed to have drowned after he went underwater Wednesday night near Eagle Falls.
First-responders were called to the scene around 6 p.m. Witnesses initially thought the man might have gotten to the shore somewhere else and did not call 911 right away, Sky Valley Fire Chief Eric Andrews said. The fire district used a drone to search from above while divers with the Snohomish County Sheriffs Office looked through pools of water where someone could have gotten caught.
They never found the man. Searchers left the scene around 10 p.m., when it became too dark.
There was not much more we could do at that point, Andrews said.

Despite drownings, TikTok fame draws hordes to Eagle Falls
INDEX Hundreds of people seeking chills and thrills have flocked to a skinny stretch of beach and rock along U.S. 2 over the past few weeks.
But their pursuit of a relaxing dip has wreaked havoc on the highways traffic as people have parked their cars, SUVs, trucks, vans and wagons along the road, sometimes encroaching on the travel lanes. Other vehicles have filled no-parking zones reserved for emergency responders.
Its creating a roadway hazard, Washington State Patrol trooper Anthony Reese said.
Not to mention a public health risk as cases of the new coronavirus surge. Gatherings, except for those from a household, are limited to five people in Snohomish County to slow the spread of COVID-19.
