Seattle Seahawks, King County Elections designate CenturyLink Field as official vote center
The Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday announced a partnership with King County Elections to designate CenturyLink Field as an official vote center location for the Aug. 4 Primary election.
Locals will be able to register, cast their ballot and receive other voting assistance at the home of the Seahawks and Sounders FC.
“Voting is one of the very foundations of our democracy and one of the simplest ways to make your voice heard,” David Young, Seahawks Sr. VP of Business Operations and General Manager of CenturyLink Field, told the team’s website. “We could not pass up another opportunity to share with our fans and residents how critical it is to get registered, cast your ballot, and stand up for what you believe in — no matter what that might be.”
The Seahawks began their partnership with King County Elections in 2019, in an effort to “promote the importance of voting through the 2020 elections,” the news release said.
