Seattle's Pagliacci Pizza shutters Queen Anne location after more than 3 decades

One of Seattle's beloved Pagliacci Pizza locations is joining the lengthy list of restaurants closing their doors for good in wake of the novel coronavirus.

The news came July 22, when the pizza chain announced in a press release that the 32-year-old outpost on Queen Anne would close permanently, slinging its final slice.

The location had been closed since March in response to the novel coronavirus outbreak, transferring its employees to one of more than 20 other locations throughout the Emerald City.

The Queen Anne location is the first of the local pizza chain to shutter for good, worrisome for many as the business is predominantly built on takeout and delivery regardless of a pandemic. Yet, the business is showing signs of scaling things back nonetheless due to the large impact of the novel coronavirus, according to Eater Seattle.
