Charlottesville Mayor to Make Announcement Regarding Lee Statue
I don't have a clue as to what might be coming. There is an injunction preventing removal.
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -
Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer is set to deliver, “a major announcement” involving the city’s statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee on Friday.
According to a press release sent out on Thursday, August 17, the mayor will speak about Emancipation Park's controversial statue, “the legacy of Heather Heyer, and the public safety of future public events”.
