Organizer Bragdon Bowling told media outlets Tuesday that Americans for Richmond Monument Preservation is pulling its permit request for the September 16 rally in light of the violence in Charlottesville.
The Richmond Times Dispatch reports that Bowling says he doesn't "want to be part of an event where people are hurt or killed." Bowling says the group's goal is to "save the monuments, not be engaged in social and racial issues."

(17,504 posts)Although I don't agree with Bowling on the monuments, I think he did the right thing withdrawing his application. I think we must not conflate delusional people enamored with the false folk lore of "The South" with white supremacists and Nazis. If we don't lump them together we can drive a wedge between them.
Our local ass wipe Kessler could set up the Richmond rally, since he was so successful here in Charlottesville. That arrogant failure in life lives a 15 minute walk from where I sit. It is an apartment in his mom's basement.
Residents in Charlottesville have shown remarkable restraint and have left him alone there. Neighbors report he has not been seen lately. He is afraid to go home, I'm sure.

Kessler is a failure in life and blames that on others.

"Just did some digging and I found out that this little f--k was a leftist operative until when? You guessed it - November 2016," wrote a commenter on the pro-Trump reddit group /r/The_Donald.
"'Unite the Right' is a Soros-funded honeypot psyop that employs the 'Pied Piper' strategy to damage the Republican brand by insinuating that Antifa goons disguised as Nazis represent the views of the entire Right Wing in America," wrote another commenter.
