Sen. Tim Kaine and wife Anne Holton headline rally at ODU's Rollins Hall on Friday
NORFOLK -- Sen. Tim Kaine, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, and his wife, Anne Holton, will headline a public campaign event at Old Dominion University on Friday afternoon, the campaign said .
The rally sponsored by the state Democratic Party begins at 5:45 p.m. in front of Rollins Hall at 5215 Hampton Blvd. Kaine is expected to talk about the differences on issues of national security between Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and the GOP opponent Donald Trump.
It will be the Virginia Democrat’s first appearance in Hampton Roads since becoming the party’s vice presidential nominee in late July.
Due to security concerns, those attending should limit what they carry to a small bag or purse, the campaign said. Signs and umbrellas will not be allowed. Those wishing to attend can sign up online at http://hrc.io/2cCJp4a.
