Texas mom says phone was too low on minutes to call 911 before daughter's death

A San Antonio woman reportedly told police that she didn’t have enough minutes and couldn’t find her phone to call 911 for her 4-year-old daughter’s severe head trauma. The mom brought the girl to the police station and she died the next day.

Jessica Briones, 34, walked into a San Antonio police substation carrying her unconscious daughter.

Olivia Briones was rushed to the hospital, where she later died, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

The mother couldn’t explain Olivia's condition and has since been arrested on suspicion of causing the child’s injuries.
