I didn't have electrical power for about four hours on Saturday morning, but it was restored about 8 a.m. Every few hours we get a band of showers sweep through then it will stop for awhile. The Red Cross is opening a shelter at the Catholic Church which is about 1.5 blocks away. The Colorado River is expected to set record levels in Wharton on Monday, but the neighborhood where I am located shouldn't experience any flooding.

Right now my brother is with me, but otherwise we have run of the entire second floor breezeway in my apartment building since the other four apartments are vacant. The biggest concern is regarding the loss of electrical power. There was a tornado earlier on Saturday within 15 miles from here.

I'm in an upstairs condo in a fairly high are so I should be ok but it's been pouring down rain for hours.

I drive for Uber/Lyft so I was out earlier before it got bad and drove from west part of Spring Branch to Spring around Champions Forest and it started raining hard on the Beltway and on the way back I was a little worried about flooding coming back on 290 but I got back ok. I was taking riders toward my destination and the last guy I took from Gessner and Hempstead gave me a $20 tip. He was going to watch the fight but his electricity went out so he was going to a bar to watch it there. It was starting to flood on the feeder road but nothing very deep. That was around 9pm. I haven't been out since then and won't until it stops raining and I hear it's ok.
