Texas Democratic Party trying to get Joaquin Castro to run for governor

the Texas Democratic Party has arranged a number of call to actions for voters to meet Joaquin Castro and to try to encourage him to run. The Meyerland Democrats had an event this afternoon and tonight the Katy Democrats had an event where we had over 140 attendees. There was a great deal of love shown to Congressman Castro. 140+ attendees for this event was a major accomplishment. I was very pleased with the event.

There is another event at the Harris County Democratic Party headquarters tomorrow morning at 10 AM. http://www.harrisdemocrats.com/joaquincastroaug2017 If you are in Houston, go meet Congressman Castro. He would give Greg Abbott a good run and could win if Greg and Patrick continue to push things like bathroom bills and the sanctuary city silliness

"Greg and Patrick" are as bad as Trump. I remember when Dan Patrick was the crazy sports guy on channel 11. It is hard to believe that Texas sunk low enough for him to become Lt. Gov.

.....out of the worst political climate in our history, with ignorant, bigoted, militant dregs now serving in high positions of leadership. Certainly he has a lot going for him compared to some of the past Dem. candidates for state office. Unfortunately, we cannot depend upon Hispanics to vote in a significant way, based upon past performance, but perhaps a really strong candidate like Castro could make a difference. I'm happy to support Castro if he decides to take it on.

I heard that there were two events yesterday for Joaquin at the Harris County Democratic Party headquarters and in Pasadena. Both events were well attended.
