I've seen white pelicans in TN in the past...

always in the winter, but I've only seen a small group of a dozen or so.
But yesterday, I saw this:

I live about 25 miles south west of Clarksville TN.

and have headed south now. Pretty crazy to see! I think the fisher people have been concerned but I haven’t heard complaints about fall catch numbers. We’ve noticed them for seven years or so.

CA, (next to Fresno, CA) in a ponding basin, (water reclamation pond to resupply the underground water aquifer) near my daughters house. There are many white pelicans in Mono Lake at the base of Tioga Pass on the east side of the Sierra Mountains. Which is right over the mountains from us. We see a few every year in that ponding basin, since my daughter moved there about 7 years ago.

The ponding basins thorough out Fresno and Clovis have a variety of bird life, from ducks, Canadian geese, egret's, white pelicans and many more.
