Sign BlueOregon.com petition to bring back Thom Hartmann to Portland on KBOO...

Thom Hartmann is offering his broadcast free to KBOO here so that he can get back on the air here in Portland since KPOJ was killed by Clear Channel.

DUers in Portland, here's a chance to make a difference... Go sign the petition here. I still get him on Sirius/XM, but I'm signing it. Portland needs his voice back!

I have already signed the Blue Oregon petition supporting Thom's very generous offer to broadcast for free on KBOO. The article doesn't change my position on that, because in my opinion, Portland badly needs some progressive voices on its airwaves. I live in Central Oregon and at present can only listen to those voices online. I feel like I'm existing in a vast wasteland where sane and sensible radio is but a distant memory. KBOO's issues are certainly significant and definitely unfortunate, and could cause Thom to rescind his offer, but I'm thinking his program could only be beneficial to those who hear it. I have hated that one of the nation's most progressive metropolitan areas is on the downhill slide to joining the vast wasteland of conservatism that exists on this side of the Cascades. Fortunately for both sides, the scenery is awesome!
