Ohio is having another primary Tuesday. I don't really understand why

something about Congressional maps not being approved. Does anyone know? Does it apply to
people we voted for in the first primary like Tim Ryan?

1. A judge denied the map they submitted,

so they basically submitted the same map the 2nd time.

I guess that Magats believe they are above the law.

and they had no clue there was another primary.

3. Same here in NY. We just had a primary, but need another...

one for Congress because maps were redrawn "improperly".

6. NY has 2 primaries this year

NY did our local primary in June, the one for Congress is in late August.

4. It does not affect Tim Ryan

This is the primary for the state house districts. I voted early, but the democrat in my district was unopposed. I assume many are, I think that's why we haven't heard much about it.

5. Any Democrat in my district wouldn't have a chance anyway. I will go vote

if there is anyone to vote for.

7. The district map the r's submitted was rejected before May 3

and the May 3 Primary went ahead with several campaigns up in the air because the r's were working on another district map. It too, was submitted and then rejected by the Ohio Supreme Court last week. Probably the same map with some sharpie marks.

I think all of the candidates who were affected by the r's incompentence were put into a special primary August 2. I knew it was coming up, and I am irritated that I had to vote in 2 primaries because r's don't know what they're doing and don't bother to learn.

8. I voted, the Democratic ballot only had three positions and all were

unopposed.

9. Mine too

I have been checking Ballotopedia (?) before I vote, so I can make a better decision about who I am voting for, even in the primaries. I saw that all 3 Dems on the 2nd primary ballot were unopposed, and felt like passing. But then, I wanted to show support for their campaigns. Also, want to be sure I'm registered and secure to vote in the general election Nov 8, 2022
