There is (sadly) no Constitutional remedy that allows for constituents to remove a sitting senator at any point during the course of a six-year term, short of voting them out of office at the end of the term.

THE QUESTION

Is it possible to force a United States senator into a recall election?

THE ANSWER

No. The only way to remove a senator from office before their term ends is through expulsion, which must be voted on by two-thirds of the Senate.

I’ll be deleting my post.

Oh well.
