3. FYI The information on that page is wrong in the case of NYS.

It has a link to its page on 2020 COVID related changes, but refers one to legislative actions (the actual bill) rather than noting the changes. (In NYS, the bill doesn't have mailing date info.)

It also links to a page called 'Voting Outside the Polling Place' which (among other things) has a section on Advantages and Disadvantages of voting by mail. The 'disadvantages' include republican talking points, such as "Opportunities for coercion".

This organization might be a little too 'bipartisan' to be a source right now.

2. Per the Kansas secretary of state page, it appears that they start mailing them on October 14th..

Hopefully another DUer in Kansas can confirm this.

The info for this is about halfway down, under the category called 'Advance Voting': https://sos.ks.gov/elections/voter-information.html

Advance Voting - By Mail

Voters are allowed to vote by mail prior to election day in the state of Kansas. In order to do so, you must complete an application for an advance ballot and include your driver’s license number or a copy of your photo identification. The deadline to submit advance voting applications to your county election official is July 28 for the 2020 primary election and October 27 for the 2020 general election. Ballots will be mailed to those who apply beginning July 15 for the 2020 primary election and October 14 for the 2020 general election. All ballots MUST be postmarked on or before election day and received in the county election office by the close of business on the Friday following the election.

7. I have a question about voting by mail with regards to my Kansas drivers license?

Any help would be appreciated, since I only get a non-response from the Kansas Secretary of State's office.

A few years ago I moved to a new Kansas county from where I had lived before and voted in a different county. Shortly after, I also had to renew my Kansas drivers license. As proof of my identity, I took my birth certificate to the drivers license office, but was told that my hospital birth certificate was unacceptable and it had to be my 'Official Kansas Birth Certificate.' Me: 'What the hell, since I had always thought my hospital birth certificate was my official birth certificate.' Since my drivers license was due to immediately expire and I had waited to do it with my new current address on it, I went ahead and just got the non-federal id Kansas drivers license.

Anyway, I finally forked over the money to get their damn Official Kansas Birth Certificate and went back to the drivers license office to change my drivers license to the Federal ID Kansas Drivers License. The drivers license office lady that helped me said that 'they pushed that back until 2021, so come back after the new year' to get the Federal ID License.

After I re-registered for voting not long ago to have my new address on file and verified that everything was correct on the Kansas website regarding my registration, I got concerned about whether I could use my non-federal id KS drivers license as my ID in requesting my vote by mail ballot.

So will the State of Kansas accept my non-federal id Kansas drivers license (everything current & valid) and can any Republican deny my right to vote based on that?

8. I would think they would since it is state issued, but to be certain, call your county's local

election office to be sure. Here I believe it's our county clerk. We need every vote for Biden we can muster.
If you're told NO, let me know.

9. Thank you so much! I called the county's election office and they said I will be fine.

I explained that didn't have the Federal ID KS License, only the non-federal KS license and why. They said that I will be fine and all I needed was my Kansas Drivers License and it didn't have to be the Federal ID one.

Gawd I hate republicans... Even when I see a republican candidate running unopposed down ticket anywhere, I always write-in 'Any Socialist' just to piss them off.
