"horrendous decision"

To save lives...Stumpy isn't the only winger trying to kill people...

And it's that simple, isn't it? The yellow haired traitor pushed opening up

the country, pushed bullshit about masks and set a queer example for the

nation trying to get over this pandemic..

A Johnson County commissioner urged constituents to contact Gov. Laura Kelly about her “horrendous decision.” A Republican U.S. Senate candidate said he shuddered at the thought of the state government telling people what to wear.

Kelly’s plan to require face masks in public spaces to fight a new spike in coronavirus cases in Kansas sparked an immediate backlash on Tuesday that threatened to undercut the mandate even before it goes into effect Friday. Conservative politicians dismissed the order as inappropriate and some county leaders suggested they may try to overturn it.

The fight is playing out ahead of a long Independence Day weekend that will feature gatherings centered on cookouts, fireworks and parades — all of it risking further spread of the virus.

I guess they missed the epic battle over, No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service! It was not all that long ago.

What? Were they sleeping or vacationing in Tierra del Fuego?

It, too, was a rather difficult time constitutionally and otherwise. Many wigs, dentures and hernia braces were lost in that conflict.

had many people in nursing homes die in Johnson Co. KS. The number of cases are on the rise again in the county and also in Kansas City, MO. I just don’t understand their objections to wearing a mask to keep themselves and others safe.

Yeah--don't split your side laughing.

Never mind that they're demanding the "freedom of choice" to kill my 90-year-old mother. It galls me that they think this is OK, and that I should go along with them.

"Your right to swing your fist ends at the tip of my nose." Their right to spew germs that could kill me ends at the point that I breathe in the air containing those germs, and at the surface that I'm going to touch that those germs can lrest on. Just wear a damn mask, you idjits!

Wouldn't that be like a "One for all and all for one" attitude? Everybody should come together for the common good,
instead of this crap about "my rights" "my freedumbs" we keep hearing. Smells of the old "divide & conquer"
strategy we see way to much of.

The Commission voted 4-2 to require masks in public places. The two who voted against are--scientific term--wackadoodles. One guy said he couldn't decide so he abstained.
Reason prevailed.
One thing I found interesting in local news coverage was that only two people showed up who were pro-mask. The reporting sounded vaguely like see, there's really not support for masks. But it seems obvious to me that people who are pro-mask aren't entering crowded rooms if they can avoid it?
