Into the padded walls. And those crazy zigzag stairs.

(27,804 posts)2. Yeah, the big slide was the best part of The Fun House
Usually there was a guy at the top of the stairs who told you to take off your tennis shoes, if you were wearing that type of shoe, and keep them in your lap while going down the slide.
(Sometimes no one was up there)

(21,148 posts)5. Everytime I drive down there I get so nostalgic for playland.
I was mad when they closed the exhibit in El Cerritos. I dont know why SF couldnt have come up with the money and purchase the stuff and find a place to display it permanently.

(36,433 posts)6. It was common knowledge on the schoolyard playground....
that one would burn their hands if they so much as touched the wooden rails on the way down. That nasty burn stuff was nothing but a bunch of hokum in my mind; I often reach the bottom of the slide ahead of my gunnysack, having parted with it at the first bump.
