Related: About this forumAnyone here a fan of AMC's "The Killing"?.....AMC is not picking it up for a third season
My husband and I (and everyone we know, actually) absolutely LOVED
it, though it seems the show lost some a lot of fans (33%) after they
didn't resolve the mystery at the end of the First Season.
It annoyed us as well, but not enough to stop watching Season Two,
in which it was resolved.
The show is looking for other stations to pick it up (Fox, for one) and
I really hope they do, as it was my favorite show on television.

Like one reporter said.."What a waste of talent."
Who is to blame? Who knows...

(29,100 posts)a "reveal" of Rosie Larsen's killer, followed, of course, by the long wait until Season Two.
It annoyed me as well, but not enough to stop watching...I absolutely loved
the lead characters and the poignant, introspective sensibility of the show generally,
especially that surrounding the grieving family of the victim.
The show won emmy awards, , so I'm thinking it has a good chance
of being picked up by another station. I may be an optimist, but I have a feeling it will be.
Here's to hope and optimism.....

I wouldn't be interested in another 2 season story where the first season was nothing but false leads. They lead us to believe that we were going to know the killer in season one and we didn't.
I really enjoyed the acting but the writers would have to do something really different from the first story arc. And I doubt they can because they were borrowing in the first place.
Its very possible this was a one hit wonder.

(29,100 posts)they've "learned their lesson" and would change their format
to the more usual one of resolving the mystery at the end of the season.

(29,100 posts)As for the polling data, I don't know about that..I do know I've seen
a LOT of disappointed people on different blogs hoping for that. n/t
