On this day, March 27, 1976, "I'm Just a Bill" was shown for the first time.

A bill explains how, if it actually happens, he would get through Congress to become a law in the #SchoolhouseRock episode, "I'm Just A Bill" (sung by #JackSheldon), airing on ABC for the first time 45 years ago today on March 27, 1976.

The Simpsons parody of this was actually better than the actual.

"There's a lot of flag burners who've got too much freedom / I wanna make it legal for policemen to beat 'em"

And yes, the Simpson's parody was gold, especially the exchange between Bart and Lisa.
