(21,237 posts)I like to keep up with current music. Bruno Mars is my favorite artist. The little Nas X and dance was entertaining.
And those slight digs at mr slappy. go Trevor

Joni was sad. Reminded me of when they used to bring out Ella Fitzgerald at the Grammys in the late 80s.

(27,848 posts).I can't say I liked the Silk Sonic song. I didn't dislike it, it just seemed disjointed, as do a lot of the songs.
Billie Eilish is talented, but that whispery trailing off from pronouncing words gets stale quickly. She's not the only one who does it. Olivia Rodrigo does it too, and so does Justin Bieber. I was trying to place when that started. Nellie Furtado, maybe? On the rare occasions when I listen to commercial radio, I notice that it's a really prevalent trend.
I do enjoy the performances, and the clothes are spectacular this year, but I would like to see more awards.

(12,418 posts)A real tribute to the love and unity of all genres of music. Special message from Ukrainian President and performance featuring Ukrainian artists. Music is a high expression of humanity in all of its forms.

(24,791 posts)Unity. Love. Talent. Didn't matter the genre.
Host Trevor Noah - class.
The musicians all were so happy. It made me appreciate Biden's work at managing COVID.
So glad I caught it. I missed the first 45 minutes - hope I can find it to record!
