(10,602 posts)I like the way filming is done overseas. A lot of our stuff is just puerile crap. There is a realness to it. It is substantive and the camera work is very refreshingly different. The people are real and no "step ford" like in the US.

(149,754 posts)Those characters are so very alive to me. The story line holds up well, and the settings are amazing.
So glad we found it!

(5,240 posts)I had hoped there would be an Inspector Hathaway series, but it's great to have a series about the young Morse.

(2,248 posts)I don't get the chance to watch it often, but we were watching last week and near the end of the show I noticed the background music was like the beginning of the original's theme song. I told my wife listen to that and she said "What , the Morse code?" I thought, how many times have I heard that familiar beginning and never thought about it being Morse code. Now, I wonder if it actually spells something.

(12,163 posts)These British dramas whether mysteries or historic are so well done. The stories, the characters and the extreme attention to detail make them a delight to watch. We just got a dvd set of "Foyle's War" which takes place during WW II Britain. I watched some of that series when it was broadcasted and it is just great.

(28,394 posts)I hated to see it end. Probably the best of the genre, IMO.

(28,394 posts)A friend recommended it. I will have to find the other episodes on Netflix.
I thought it was great, but I didn't want to get addicted to another mystery series. Guess I'm hooked now! LOL
