(19,459 posts)It's actually called Mansfield Plantation, but I call it Catherine's Place because the Innkeeper is a lovely woman named Catherine Green.
The place has quite a history and is in the process of being restored as a Bed and Breakfast. We stayed a couple days there on a road trip through Virginia and the Carolina's the last half of May. A great place for a visit should you find yourself in the Georgetown, South Carolina, area. Very pretty, excellent accommodations, not tooooo expensive (we were there the last weekend of the off-season, and prices were reduced). Very interesting from both Human and Natural history perspective.

Very, very photogenic place. I'm going to post some shots of the swamps around there at some point.

(7,403 posts)I spent some time in Charleston a while back, and loved the architecture and the wonderful 18th century interiors.
Cool! I'm looking forward to seeing some more pics from your trip!

(19,459 posts)I posted this shot because I've been experimenting with control points and selective color.
We've been to Charleston a couple of times and have always enjoyed it. I prefer it to Savannah, another city with wonderful architecture.
