I recently moved to a small town in Quebec. It's just north of Ottawa, on the edge of the Gatineau hills. This image was taken last Saturday, about half a mile from where I now live.

(86,039 posts)We were robbed this year. Just as the leaves were starting to show a tiny bit, a killer freeze came along and now everything has a grey/green color and just dropping off the trees and shrubs, no foliage this year.

(8,258 posts)I used to live a bit west of there and fall was always spectacular. Someone who still lives there took this shot a few days ago...
I miss being there so very much.

I used to be a hard-core journalistic photographer. Now I only shoot pretty - it's a lot easier on my heart.
