We must have the same taste. I have Hosta Lily and lots of Coleus in my yard, and I use Boston Fern in the shady back yard as a ground cover.
But the Coleus is starting to look really ragged. I live in New Orleans . . . I think the extended heat finally got to them. We have hit record highs several times in the last week.

We do indeed have the same tastes, although mine is limited to whatever will grow in the shade!
The extra hot summer has taken it's toll around here, too.
