CalPeggy, this is for you! Three shots--taken with my phone--this morning

on my walk with Snowy. My new neighborhood is downtown Raleigh. Our ritual morning walk is to the State Capitol Building. Thought I'd see what I could get with my phone camera this a.m.

The State Capitol Building in Raleigh. It's a Greek Revival building made from granite in 1840.

Christ Episcopal Church (to the east and directly across the street from the State Capitol Building), built in 1846, is an example of Gothic Revival architecture.

A downtown mural created by a Red Hat employee. The glass/concrete building in the background is my apartment building. I can see the dome of the State Capitol from my apartment.

These are wonderful photos! You sure live in a beautiful neighborhood, to say the least!

I love the old architecture, the Greek and Gothic Revival types! They are stunning. And the very modern, brilliant mural! Wow.

And what an amazing surprise to find your post dedicated to me. I am deeply touched! Thank you so much.

it would have done it by now.

My soon to be ex husband threw himself out of bed in our cabin 4 years ago when we were on a Baltic cruise. He was escaping
a tsunami in his dream. That was probably related to neurological issues and is known as REM Sleep Behavior Disorder.

If you find yourself acting out violent dreams, it might be advisable to consult a neurologist.

I'm a bit of a fatalist. I think when it's my time, it will happen.
