My emphasis on natural beauty these days is a gift to my wife, who is in the eleventh hour of dying from ovarian cancer. These photographs serve many purposes. They brighten her days; they bring some of the outdoors, that she can no longer enjoy, indoors for her; and they act as healing, cleansing therapy for me.

I'm grateful to be part of an appreciative forum like this, to spread the bounty of beauty a little wider.

Her odds aren't as good as mine were.

It's a horrible disease and I am not without some idea of how bad it gets.

My wife is a lifelong fine artist, who has worked with Photoshop since the year before it was released. She has the eye of a painter and the chops of a wizard. She pointed out this crop in the frame right before the one I originally posted. She was right.

One more from this morning.
