Against the Wind

Photograph by Dominic Roy, National Geographic Your Shot

A snowy owl appears to fight against the elements during extreme weather conditions near Quebec City, Canada. “I knew that many snowy owls were in the area,” writes Your Shot member Dominic Roy, “but it’s not always easy to find them.”

unfortunately I didn't pass and I'm seeing a eye surgeon in the early morning. I will let you all know how I am.

I posted this great photo before going for the test, I knew you all would love it too.

I like the eye surgeon and he thinks all the eye causing problems with my tear duct blockage is a bacteria infection that none of the antibiotics worked before that other eye doctors have tried. He took a culture and sent it to the lab for the exact antibiotic I will need to get the infection out and inflammation gone.

I am so wiped out between the eye irrigation of yesterday and all the poking and scrapping today. I feel like I've been in the ring seven rounds and took all the blows. He also prescribed a week of antibiotic eye drops I'm taking now till I see him again, same kind for the cataract surgery I had.

Hopefully soon, all abscess in the tear duct will disappear and my tears will be flowing through instead of constant watering down my face.

Thanks for the good wishes my friend!
