This was taken out on Bird's Landing Road, in Solano County, California. There is a pretty large wind farm out there, along with cows, coyotes, and the occasional ranch. Not much else. I took it a month or so ago.

EDIT: It's formal name is the Shiloh Wind Power Plant. Here is a link if you are interested:

Very interesting. I can't find who made the turbines. I wonder if the next expansion will have 3 megawatt turbines. The 1.5 were huge. The 3, ginormous!

The Tehachepi wind farm at Tehachepi Pass (out on Highway 58 going from Bakersfield to Barstow) is larger, I think. You may have passed it in your travels down there.
