The comet was my main project tonight, but since the moon was high in a beautifully clear sky, I took some shots. Picking one to post now. The waxing crescent phase is one of my favorites. I think it's probably one of your favorites too. Lots of craters and shadows. I hope you have clear skies tomorrow and are able to get some shots!

It’s supposed to rain tomorrow but clear out by tomorrow night. IF it does, I’ll see what I can do.

And you’re right— the waxing crescent moon is my favorite!

My eyesight sucks, so there is no way I can see it up in the sky. So far, most sites have given me the unhelpful "artist's rendition," thanks a hell of a lot.

Your picture is perfect. Wow, it really does read green. I remember Hale Bopp as being kind of a brownish orange.
