It is a big round statue with 2 discs sort of together. I was trying to get something more interesting as a photo than just a picture showing the whole piece.
The naked consumerism for many of the Christmas decorations was amazing to me. The center of the Galleria had a tree piramid made up of shiny Gucci bags.
(An aside, as we were leaving town some activists threw fake blood on them and glued themselves t0 the display.)

you get to Milan. We took the elevator to the roof and were able to wonder all over. It was amazing to see the all the changes in architectural styles over the centuries.

I was hoping to climb to the top but it looks like it's the elevators. I like climbing up those windy stairs and thinking about the history behind them. The best so far, IMHO, was the Munster at Ulm.

And of course every time I'm there, the Duomo is stunning.

Every major family in Milan would try to out do the rest of society by erecting bigger and more ornate tombs. Many gave credit to both the mason and the architect who designed them.

A great variety of scenes, showing the architecture of the past and of now. Amazing stuff!

Love the captions too!

Thank you.
