Related: About this forumthe great orion nebula
possibly the toughest object ive shot at least when it comes to editing. the nebula itself is easy to shoot and it very bright. but inside of the nebula there are assorted stars including whats called the trapezium cluster which gets blow out in most photos due to the brightness of the nebula itself. So to get around that i used 3 different exposures, edited then individually and then merged them as an HDR. I used a combination of 15 second,1 minute and 5 minute exposures from my backyard

(2,451 posts)while nothing beats dark skies you can shoot a surprising amount of deep space object in teh city. nebul are easier than galaxies becasue light polluiton is easier to filter out for nebulas

(2,189 posts)I appreciate how much you had to do, to manipulate those three images,
into your complete composition...
Sometimes a human mind, not JUST
a camera is needed to perfect an image.
