Loved the vid... beautiful! I used to know some Serbian dances, you know, international folk dance standards.. Balkan, Hungarian, etc.

So I didn't know what exactly a frula is, and found this:

I really love the sound of the Low D tin whistle.. I mess around with the standard sizes but not a great whistle player, I'm a bit out of practice these days..

I don't really go for the Serb nationalist stuff... I'm hearing a more 'oriental' sound in there too, which is what I'm looking for. I hear it in Southern Spanish (Andalusian, Flamenco...) music too (I'm in the Canary Islands).

This guy sells frulas, in Serbian currency (you'll need to translate his web site but he does speak English):

Yes. I'm considering the Clarke low D and low F as well...

I've recently picked it up again after a break of 40 years, used to play in bars in the counties Clare and Limerick in my youth, as an Englishman! Was warmly received.

I need a lot of practice. Have been jamming a bit with jazz musicians and working for a start on this:

You could possibly link up with some folks there.

Also, here are two threads from Appalachia Group you might find interesting:
