I passed on this band at first because of the cover art

Holy hell, they made album covers that were some hot roquefort levels of cheese.

But Armored Saint can JAM

Anyway, turns out they released some new music in August.

I'm happy to report that their commitment to loud guitars and cheesy cover art has survived all these years.

Respect.

The name and the cover put me off for years, then I bought a 180 gram vinyl reissue and Holy Smokes, very hard guitar, other oddities, overall clever, great music. With superb, demonstration-caliber sonics. And the live shows are the stuff of legends. Check it out!
