(13,200 posts)My family played and sang when I was a kid, but after I graduated HS, kicked around and joined the Air Force, I just never really listened to it. I ignored it for more than a decade
When my kids were born in the 90s I started listening again and here it is 30 years later and I am obsessed.
asa young adult, I never even spoke about seeing Doc Watson or the Dillards or any of the artists that I saw around SW PA and the Pan Handle region of WV back when I was a kid.

(1,623 posts)BIL introduced me to David Grisman and the Seldom Scene. Then I moved to Colorado and friends turned me on to New Grass Revival and John Hartford.
I havent been the same since.
