And, I'm not a huge fan of The Who.
But, this album and Quadrophenia got me!
On one of my trips to Manchester, I took a few hours & drove to Leeds to look around. It was pretty much because of this album.

No keyboards. No synthesizers. Just drums, base, guitar, vocals and the occasional harmonica.

To this day, still the best live band I have ever seen.

Even on their Hits 50 tour a few years back, when they had to bring on about 4 additional musicians to compensate for the sound John Entwistle used to create with just a base guitar, and Zak Starkey on drums, Pete and Roger showed what live music should be.
