He came to my college town and I’ll never forget him walking on stage and playing barefoot.
Our local radio station in the PDX Metro area used to play his music at night during their “Lights Out” program to relax and fall asleep to.

It was like going to church without the sermon and plate-passing. Seriously, it was a full auditorium, utterly silent but for his piano. You could have heard a pin drop.
