Composed by Franz Schubert (January 31, 1797 – November 19, 1828); performed by The Philadelphia Orchestra under the direction of Leopold Stokowski; with the New Jersey-based Westminster Choir directed by Charles E. Henderson. The soprano solo was by Julietta Novis who was also the soloist during the Emerald City sequence of The Wizard of Oz (1939).
