2001: A Space Odyssey (2012 Trailer Recut)

I came across this several years ago and I've come back to it many times since. It's a brilliant piece of work.

For all that it was perhaps Kubrick's most famous film, the original film put me to sleep.

And I could see a full length reboot being released in this style.

With an eardrum rupturing sound track, gratuitous chase scenes, chauvinistic & a little creepy space shower or sex scene, killer drone-robot "bodies" for HAL, and explosions taking up the screen time to replace the truly mind numbing slow action scenes of the original.

It would probably be quite popular.
